In a transcendental night for Dominican music, The King of Merengue packed the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino, last Friday, in the so-called “Noches de Neón” (Nights of Neon).
From early afternoon, fans from Venezuela, Colombia, the United States, Russia and the DR, arrived at the famous hotel whose structure is an imposing guitar that is already part of the tourist attractions of the city.
Wilfrido Vargas offered an energetic concert in front of the fans who enjoyed the group’s most emblematic hits, such as El Africano, Volveré, El jardinero, El loco y la luna, among others, which were danced to and chanted by the thousands of people attending the event.
Merengue highlights
“Good evening, as ambassadors of Dominican music we are more than happy that this concert has become a meeting of brotherhood,” said Wilfrido Vargas as he greeted the audience.
He added: “This is an occasion in which we can tell the world that united we can achieve great things and that it is through merengue has a meaning of premonition that tells us that nothing unites people more than music,” said the popular Dominican artist.
