Government to deliver Familia Feliz apartments to members of the National Police

The Government will deliver in March, 128 of the 250 apartments to members of the National Police, in the Praderas del Norte residential complex, corresponding to the Happy Family Housing Plan.

This was informed this Thursday by the Vice-Minister of Investment Projects, Camel Curi Lara, who said that the rest of the houses will be delivered in the coming months.

Curi Lora offered the information during a supervisory visit to the project, located in the municipality of Los Alcarrizos, accompanied by the Minister of Interior and Police, Jesus Vasquez Martinez, and the director general of the National Police, Major General Ramon Antonio Guzman Peralta.

The officials toured the model apartment, which has three bedrooms, two bathrooms, living room, dining room, kitchen, balcony, laundry area and a parking lot. During their visit, they received information about the new houses from José Gutiérrez, president of Grupo Servinta, the entity that is developing the works.

Minister Vásquez Martínez expressed his satisfaction with the new housing that will house the officers and reiterated that it is part of the Government’s aspirations to dignify the lives of the officers, as part of the National Police Reform process.

“For us it is very important to reward the performance of the best policemen, so that the good policeman, the honest, upright and hardworking one, feels valued by the institution,” he said, while highlighting the importance of the project.

The director of the National Police, Ramón Antonio Guzmán Peralta, said that this project is a transcendental step for the members of this institution, because they will be able to see their dreams of having a roof of their own for them and their families come true.

Vice Minister Curi Lora informed that the purchasers of all the houses have already been approved, a process in which they have accompanied the beneficiaries and have prioritized the agents with merits and with special conditions, which have been the result of damages suffered in the performance of their duty, always following the recommendations of the National Police.

He pointed out the proximity of the new houses to the Santo Domingo cable car and the Santo Domingo ring road, which guarantees that the police officers can easily travel to and from their homes, in addition to having the necessary basic services.
