MITUR invites tourism MSMEs from Costa Rica and DR to virtual sustainability workshop

It will be held within the framework of the Digital Transformation Program for SMEs in the tourism sector in Latin America and the Caribbean.

The Ministry of Tourism (MITUR) invites micro, small and medium enterprises in the tourism sector (MSMEs) of both Costa Rica and the Dominican Republic to participate in the virtual workshop on sustainability, which will seek to promote, raise awareness and train these companies to apply sustainable practices in their businesses.

The workshop, in online mode of 1.5 hours, via the zoom platform, will be held this Tuesday, August 8 at 9:00 am in Costa Rica and 11:00 am in the Dominican Republic, from CAF (Development Bank of Latin America and the Caribbean).

The main objective is to promote environmental sustainability in the tourism sector, in addition to defining aspects of the environment that most affect the achievement of environmentally sustainable development objectives of the participating tourism companies.

At the same time, participants will be provided with knowledge and tools to improve sustainability in the different areas of their businesses, in addition to including digitalization as an important axis in the workshop.

The workshop will be held within the framework of the Digital Transformation Program for SMEs in the tourism sector in Latin America and the Caribbean.
