Kathmandu in DR has had a good reception

Gabriel Escarrer, vice president and CEO of Meliá Hotels International, stated that “we are very happy with the development of Katmandú Park Punta Cana, we are convinced that it will become a reference activity, something very new”.

“We want to count more on the national public and we are convinced that we will soon bring a second phase of expansion of the park given the good reception that the first phase has had,” he said.

Escarrer said that the theme park has consisted of a first phase with an investment of US$80 million dollars and in a second phase, US$90 million dollars will be invested, for a total investment of US$170 million dollars.

He announced that Meliá International has plans to continue expanding in the Dominican Republic by highlighting the success that Katmandu Park has had, according to Despertar Nacional.

“Katmandu Park Punta Cana has been conceived as a revolutionary themed entertainment offering,” he said.
