The Crowne Plaza Santo Domingo and Ron Barceló organized a sensory evening for communicators who have the joy of being parents, to celebrate their day.
At the event, which took place in the Esmeralda lounge to the rhythm of good music, the guests delighted their senses with the combined flavors and smells.
Masiel Santana, marketing manager of the Crowne Plaza Santo Domingo, and Jaime Andrés Hincapié, controller of the property, welcomed the guests and hosted the occasion.
Santana highlighted the hotel’s interest in making the sharing a relaxed moment for the delight of the attendees, “it is the first time we have had several of you with us and on behalf of the general management we want to thank you for the support you give us every day from your media, for being our most loyal allies and especially for accepting the invitation to celebrate such a special date, hand in hand with our allies, Ron Barceló and La Aurora Cigars”.
Otto Flores, Global Head of Ambassador of Ron Barceló led the tasting in which he used the following rums: Barceló Imperial, Imperial Porto Casky Barceló Imperial Maple Cask.
Observation, olfactory evaluation and taste analysis were some of the moments enjoyed by the guests as they discovered the nuances of the Imperial rum, made from the precious nectar of the finest selection of Dominican sugar cane; the light and silky Imperial Porto Cask, a harmony for the senses; as well as the Imperial Maple Cask, a distillate rested in maple wood that is part of the Rare Blends Collection.
Guests also enjoyed the exclusive cigars: Fernando León Family Reserve and La Aurora 107 Nicaragua, distributed by La Aurora Cigars, the oldest and most traditional cigar factory in the Dominican Republic. The former is a cigar launched in 2012, an exquisite artisanal blend of capo and capote grown in the Cibao Valley, as well as filler of Dominican and Brazilian origin. Of medium strength, this version exudes spicy notes and cedar, with sweet honeyed aromas.
The second (La Aurora 107 Nicaragua) is one of the most exquisite blends in the Cigars of the World collection, composed of Habano wrapper, Jalapa Valley capote, tobaccos from the Condega and Estelí areas, and Nicaraguan tobacco for the filler. A cigar of “medium-strong” strength, with flavors that exhibit notes of coffee bean, almond, cedar and leather with a finish reminiscent of nougat.
