Abinader receives Guatemalan president-elect at National Palace

President Luis Abinader received this Monday at the National Palace, the president elect of Guatemala, Cesar Bernardo Arevalo de Leon.

His arrival at the Government House took place at 2:00 in the afternoon. He was received by the Guard of Honor and immediately went to the private audience with the president, in which also participate the vice president Raquel Peña and the ministers, Administrative of the Presidency, José Ignacio Paliza, and of Foreign Affairs, Roberto Álvarez.

Also present were the vice ministers of Foreign Affairs, Rubén Silié and José Julio Gómez, as well as the Dominican ambassador to Guatemala, Sara Emilia Altagracia Paulino Cárdenas.

In the afternoon, President Luis Abinader and the Guatemalan president elect, Bernando de León, will lead the customary LA Semanal press conference.

The departure from the DR of the Guatemalan president elect and his delegation is scheduled for Tuesday 18 in the morning hours.
