Martín de Oliva to be awarded by arecoa.com at Fitur

Juan Manuel Martín de Oliva, vice-president of the tourism area of Banco Popular Dominicano, will receive the arecoa.com award on January 24 on the occasion of Fitur. Minister David Collado will be in charge of presenting the award in an activity organized by our publishing group at the Madrid fairgrounds.

Martín de Oliva is a banking executive with a long professional life in Spain and the DR. He arrived in the country 25 years ago and since then has remained at BPD, where he has carried out important tasks. The tourism area acquired a great dimension with him and he is a key player in the gearing of the first private financial institution in the country.

Other personalities from the tourism sector who will receive awards from our group’s media are: Juan Llull, president and founder of Hipotels (Preferente award); Alfonso Paredes, vice-president of Expedia (Reportur award); and Javier Arus, senior partner of Hotels & Leisure at Azora (Desarrollo award).

The president of the Government of the Balearic Islands, Margarita Prohens, and the head of the World Tourism Council, Julia Simpson, will preside with Minister Collado at the awards ceremony.

The activity, sponsored by Therrestra, Estel, Pilsa and Spectro, will take place at 1:00pm in the Neptune Room, in the northern area of Ifema, and will bring together the most renowned business representatives and senior executives of the tourism sector in Spain, the DR and the Caribbean. Our compatriot Gabriella Reginato, ambassador of tourism and gastronomy, will act as master of ceremonies.
