Diversity of projects at the XVII Great Real Estate Exhibition at Corferias.

This new version will be held from August 10 to 13, 2023 and will have 110 national and international exhibitors.

Real estate is one of the investments that has most interested Colombians over the years and, today, the supply of residential, commercial, hotel and industrial real estate assets continues to grow in the country and around the world. In this context, Corferias will host more than 110 exhibitors at the XVII Great Real Estate Exhibition from Thursday, August 10 to Sunday, August 13, the perfect scenario to learn about the diversity of options offered in this market.

“During these four days of the fair, we will have prefabricated houses, new residential, commercial and tourism projects, used real estate, in different regions of Colombia. In addition, we will have a rich academic agenda in which experts will address topics on the main demands, challenges and challenges of the sector,” said Lilian Conde, project manager of the fair from Corferias.

One of the most important novelties of this version is the presence of exhibitors from countries such as the Dominican Republic, the United States, the United Arab Emirates, Mexico and Panama, including construction companies, developers, real estate companies and developers, whose projects will be exhibited in pavilions 7 and 8, where the Central American island stands out as one of the most sought-after destinations.

Precisely, the Dominican Republic has become a tourist attraction and has a high presence of foreign residents; it is one of the most frequented destinations in Latin America and the Caribbean, with areas such as Punta Cana, Samana and Puerto Plata, among others. It is known for its enviable beaches and warm climates, besides having excellent tax exemptions of up to 15 years in tourist areas.

Another component present in this version will be the BTS (Built to Suit) constructions that by 2023 seek the development of building projects tailored to each client, allowing their investments to be efficient and optimize resources.

Similarly, this fair will have a focus on sustainability, where projects that bet on zero emissions, reducing gas and diesel consumption in buildings will be exhibited.

“The invitation is for those interested in acquiring their first home, office or investing in any type of property to schedule a visit to this version of the Great Real Estate Show, a fair where in one place they can learn about projects according to all tastes and needs, both in Colombia and elsewhere in the world,” added Lilian Conde.

How is the sector doing?

According to inflation projections and the increase in the CPI for 2023, the Colombian Federation of Real Estate Lonjas (Fedelonjas), conducted an analysis in which it projects a 12% increase in the value of leases.

Finally, also for this year the real estate market has proposed to increase the supply of social interest housing, as they are leveraged by subsidies from compensation funds and the government which come to cover between 30% and 50% of the value of housing.
