With the presence of several sports personalities and school children of this eastern district, the third day of the torch relay of the X National School Sports Games Barahona 2023 took place, which will be held in this southern province and will have San Juan de la Maguana, Azua and Bahoruco as subsites.
The route began at the monument of welcome to this city and culminated at the Santa Clara de Asis Educational Center. Present at the activity were the mayor of this municipality, Raymundo Ortiz; the provincial sports director, Miguel Jiménez, and the Central American and Caribbean medalist athlete, Joel David.
Also present were the director of the Santa Clara de Asis Educational Center, Xiomara Vidal Gomez; Isidro Santana Ramirez, in charge of the regional Education Department, and Russel Arnaud, in charge of the torch relay.
