Collado: ”We conquered Mexico! A Roadshow a little different, where we managed to present each tourist pole of our paradise in a unique way”.

The Ministry of Tourism exposed to 700 travel agencies and tour operators each of the tourist poles in a roadshow presented in Mexico.

“We conquered Mexico! A Roadshow a little different, where we managed to present each tourist pole of our paradise in a unique way,” posted in a tweet the institution.

It explained that in 2022, Mexico was in eighth place as a Latin American issuing country of tourists to the DR, and as of today it is in the number six position.

“In 2023, we have already received more than 38,192 Mexicans, and we project to close close close to 80,000 visitors,” said Minister David Collado in his presentation.

Collado said that according to his data, six out of every 10 Mexican tourists leave their hotel to enjoy activities such as Saona Island, Catalina Island, theme parks, horseback riding, snorkeling and other activities that promote a comprehensive and diversified tourism throughout the Dominican Republic, “generating a link with the tourist and the Dominican”.

“Happy to be able to further develop the promotion of our destination in different parts of the world, much more in the first roadshow that exceeds 700 attendees. A record that will come with thousands of benefits for the country’s tourism! Thank you Mexico, and to all those who gathered to learn about and fall in love with every corner of the Dominican Republic,” noted the minister.
