PUJ flies high: 8 years in a row as “the best in the region”

For the eighth consecutive year, Punta Cana International Airport (PUJ) received the Airport Service Quality (ASQ) award from the Airports Council International (ACI).

The recognition given to PUJ as “Best Airport by Size and Region” in the category of 5 to 15 million passengers per year in the Caribbean and Latin America, places it among the best airports in the world, based on travelers’ experience.

Frank Elías Rainieri, president and CEO of Grupo Puntacana, expressed his pride at receiving this recognition, which reflects the commitment and dedication of the entire PUJ Mejorairport community.

“Every day, we work tirelessly to offer our visitors a safe and pleasant travel experience. This achievement is the result of the joint effort of everyone involved in making our airport a benchmark of excellence,” he added.

He also indicated that “the passenger is the center of everything, this is reflected in the aspects of the Airport Service Quality (ASQ) awards”.

Luis Felipe de Oliveira, general director of ACI World, congratulated the entire PUJ team: “Congratulations, your passengers have spoken and recognized the successful efforts of your team to provide an excellent customer experience”.

The award recognizes the quality and excellence of airports around the world that offer the best experiences to travelers, with Punta Cana International Airport being the first in the RD to achieve this recognition and maintain it for eight consecutive years.

The Airport Service Quality (ASQ) awards are the highest recognition for airport operators that distinguish the best airports in the world for excellence in management and traveler service, compiled from the Traveler Satisfaction Survey conducted by ACI.
