SkyHigh to connect Santiago and Punta Cana with Miami due to high demand

The commercial director of the Dominican airline SkyHigh, Cesarina Beauchamp, highlighted the relevance of the Miami market and of Florida in general for this airline.

She explained that “Miami was a very important goal for us. First because of the Dominican community based in this city and then the number of Dominicans who travel from the Dominican Republic to Miami, which is quite large.”

“We were just waiting for the changes in aircraft and the acquisition of new aircraft in May 2022. We started with two Embraer 190 aircraft and then the others arrived. When we had a significant fleet of that aircraft, we executed the expansion of our services,” she said.

She added that “SkyHigh has been operating for 8 years in the Caribbean islands and in some South American countries. The connectivity we have achieved from these islands to Miami is also very important”.

“Right now we have almost all flights from Miami to Santo Domingo full. We opened first in December with three flights a week and since January we have one a day and in August we went up, for five days, to two flights a day,” he said.

He informed that “in September, due to many requests, we are going to start direct flights from Santiago de los Caballeros-Miami and Punta Cana-Miami”.

From Santiago de los Caballeros there will be three direct flights a week: Mondays, Thursdays and Sundays, and from Providence, Rhode Island, on Thursdays and Sundays, the company explained in a press release.
