Conep and UNDP recognize 17 entrepreneurial initiatives

Seeking to highlight the role of companies in the area of sustainability

The National Council of Private Enterprise (Conep) and the United Nations Development Program (UNDP) recognized 17 business initiatives that generate positive economic, social and environmental impacts in the country to accelerate the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), during the presentation of the second edition of the Catalog of Promising Practices.

According to the information provided, this catalog is part of the Sustainable Companies initiative, a line of work focused on the development of products and services aimed at the Dominican private sector and its involvement in the 2030 Agenda.

The initiatives recognized in the Catalog are EGE Haina, Banco Popular Dominicano, Consorcio CAEI,

Ron Barceló SRL, Fundación Grupo Puntacana, Nueva Vida Para Los Residuos (Nuvi), Tetra PAK, Cemex Dominicana, Banco BHD León, Sanar Una Nación, Grupo Universal, Implementos y Maquinarias IMCA, Banreservas, Gerdau Metaldom and Farco S.R.L.

In addition, for the first time, the catalog recognized the work of two MSMEs, HHO Eco Series and Sostenibilidad 3RS, which are currently working towards environmental sustainability.
