Meliá Hotels International announced the appointment of Smarlin Adriano Jiménez Sánchez as its new Commercial Director for the DR, in charge of leading the commercial strategy of the more than 2,500 rooms owned by the Meliá chain in the country, under the Paradisus by Meliá and Meliá Hotels & Resorts brands.
Jiménez Sánchez has 15 years of experience in commercial management in the hotel industry, is multilingual, results-driven, with a high level of interpersonal relations, as well as a perfect knowledge of the market and operational marketing.
With a Bachelor’s Degree in Hotel Management, Concentration: Hotel Marketing, Summa Cum Laude from the Pontificia Universidad Católica Madre y Maestra (PUCMM) and several diplomas and specialties including Management Competencies, Quality, Marketing, Finance and Human Resources.
He has also developed a successful career, occupying different positions of responsibility in the operation of hotels in the DR that have allowed him to acquire great skills in the sales and marketing sector.
Markus Haack, the hotel chain’s commercial manager for the Americas Region, said that Meliá Hotels International is delighted to announce the new appointment, which will serve to continue promoting the chain’s leadership and expansion in the destination.
