Cruises, wind in the stern in Puerto Plata

Puerto Plata is enthusiastically preparing to receive the expected high cruise season in November. A total of 48 majestic cruise ships are scheduled to arrive on the shores of the tourist destination.

The arrival schedule is divided equally between two of the region’s tourist ports: Amber Cove and Taino Bay. Each of these ports will receive a total of 24 cruise ships, which represents a constant flow of visitors.

The Northern Regional Director of Tourism in the Northern Zone, Atahualpa Paulino, expressed his optimism about the high cruise season and pointed out that it is shaping up to be a success.

He also emphasized that the constant influx of cruise ships continues to strengthen Puerto Plata’s position as one of the most outstanding tourist destinations in the entire Caribbean region.

Paulino emphasized the commitment of local authorities to offer a memorable experience to visitors, promoting the natural and cultural beauty of the region.

“This high cruise season in Puerto Plata promises to be an exciting and beneficial period for both the local community and visitors wishing to discover the wonders of this coastal destination,” he said.
