The president of the Association of Hotels and Tourism of the RD (Asonahores), David Llibre, said that Miami is a strategic point for the RD to boost its tourism potential, as the city is considered the center of the world in the Americas.
“The Trade Show is being held here in Miami because of the composition of tour operators and travel agents that are present here, since we have the presence of Argentina, Brazil, Colombia and the United States,” he said.
He said that the meeting has an extremely important impact on the agreements and negotiations on what the RD is as a brand and tourist destination.
He indicated that the country in tourism is not alone in the world, since it competes with other important markets which also have offers, according to El Nuevo Diario.
“That is why it is extremely important to always keep highlighting and presenting our product to tour operators and travel agencies”, added Llibre.
The executive spoke within the framework of the development of the second DR Trade Show in the city of Miami which is carried out by the Ministry of Tourism (Mitur) and the public-private sector.
