Puntarena to generate more than 3,000 jobs in the next decade

Simón Suárez, representative of the Puntarena Tourism Project in Sabana Buey, Baní, said that in the next 10 years they expect to generate more than 3,000 jobs.

He indicated that following the guidelines the Productive Tourism Cluster of Baní seeks the positioning of the destination as well as the increase of productivity, competitiveness and profitability of the different actors that make up its value chain, especially of the MSMEs involved; through a greater synergy of initiatives and resources of the actors involved, according to Hoy.

It is recalled that the province since 2018 has had a value chain analysis and a Strategic Plan for the Baní Tourism Destination following technical assistance for the Competitiveness Support program, sponsored by the National Competitiveness Council (CNC) with the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB).
