The company Edesur Dominicana illuminated the peripheral streets of the new experimental model high school Prof. Carlos McKinney, of the Autonomous University of Santo Domingo (UASD) in Baní, inaugurated by President Luis Abinader.
The streets illuminated by the Edesur brigades are Nuestra Señora de Regla, Félix María del Monte and Luis Marcano streets.
Edesur’s lighting operation included the installation of poles, new triplex cables and LED lights, as well as the normalization and replacement of lights in these streets.
The general manager of Edesur, Milton Morrison, explained that these works are a contribution of Edesur to education, the safety of students and teachers in night shifts, as well as to public safety in the northern area of Baní.
A few months ago, Edesur inaugurated in the center of Baní an important project of rehabilitation of networks and lighting, with an investment of DR 670.86 million financed by the OPEC Fund for International Development (OFID). This project included the first stage of the lighting of the peripheral streets of the Liceo Prof. Carlos McKinney.
