Secrets Tides by Álvaro, luxury at the closing of DATE

The facilities of the new luxury hotel Secrets Tides Punta Cana, part of Inclusive Collection, Part of World of Hyatt, served as the setting to celebrate the closing of the Dominican Annual Tourism Exchange 2024 (DATE).

Matthias Hohner, regional commercial vice president for the DR and Colombia for Hyatt Inclusive Collection, said Secrets Tides Punta Cana is one of the new flagship resorts in the RD and the Caribbean.

“This property has 668 wonderful rooms with incredible views of the Caribbean Sea. We have more than nine dining options, including six a la carte restaurants. We offer seven bars, three swimming pools and a spa with 16 treatment rooms,” he highlighted.

David Llibre, president of the RD Hotel and Tourism Association (Asonahores), highlighted the extraordinary qualities that make the country an ideal tourist destination to visit. “Today we are celebrating our achievements and what is being done in the RD. I am very pleased with what we are seeing today.”

In attendance were executives from Hyatt Inclusive Collection, such as the Regional Vice President of Operations in the RD, Daniel Hernández; the ambassador to the World Tourism Organization (UN-Tourism) Anabel Bueno; Enrique Martinón – son, president of Grupo Martinón; the vice minister of Promotion and Development of the Ministry of Tourism (Mitur), Tammy Reynoso; the president of the Association of Hotels of the East (Asoleste), Ernesto Veloz, among others.

Also present at the event were Aguie Lendor, vice president of Asonahores; Francisco Camps, of Meliá Hotels; Jorge Feliz, of Karisma Hotels and Alejandra Mora; travel agents, tour operators from various countries, members of the local and international tourism press, special guests, among others.

The artistic part of the celebration was in charge of the outstanding Dominican musical group “Boda Band” who offered a varied repertoire during their presentation, in a night full of good music and a celebratory atmosphere.
