The Airport Department (DA) and the Embassy of the Dominican Republic in Jamaica, signed a collaboration agreement for the implementation of the “Country Effort” project, which seeks to promote the Dominican territory in that island country, as a safe and friendly place for non-commercial private aviation.
The agreement was signed by the executive director of the DA, Victor Pichardo, and the Dominican ambassador to Jamaica, Angie Shakira Martinez Tejera, at the diplomatic headquarters in Kingston, with the aim of continuing efforts to attract tourist, executive and business travelers who use general aviation to the country.
These agreements are part of the great work we have been doing, for the continuous improvement of private aviation, from the implementation of the Protocol for the Management of Non-Commercial Private Aviation, seeking to attract the largest number of aircraft that correspond to that segment of tourism.
