The Ministry of Tourism awarded the Distintivo de Calidad Turística Qualitur plaque to the Sheraton Santo Domingo Hotel, demonstrating its commitment to the quality of tourism in the Dominican Republic.
At the ceremony, which took place at the Sheraton Santo Domingo Hotel, the Vice Minister of Quality of Tourism Services, Roberto Henríquez, said that the company that opts for this Distinction transmits confidence, security and satisfaction in the service it receives to the client.
“With the awarding of this quality distinction we all win: the companies, which leave the quality of their services guaranteed, the consumer, who receives the best attention and we, as an authority, who must guarantee the best,” said Vice Minister Henríquez.
He emphasized that Qualitur guarantees a better quality for excellence in the tourism industry and a satisfaction for the traveler, guest, client or user of any service in the area.
Vice Minister Henríquez urged the executives present to maintain the standards established to continue guaranteeing quality services that are competitive.
For his part, the general manager of the Sheraton Hotel, Cesar Oliva, expressed how important it is for his brand to have the QUALITUR certification and pledged to continue working in the management and maintenance of this certification.
Jaime Montilla, director of Quality of Tourism Services, among other MITUR officials and businessmen of the sector, was present at the Qualitur certificate award ceremony.
Qualitur is a distinctive mark that identifies service providers that have been certified under the tourism quality standards. The “Q” mark for Tourism Quality provides credibility, distinction, reliability and promotion, which helps the company to differentiate itself by adding value.
