Mónika Infante (Aerodom) assumes leadership of Airports Council International

Mónika Infante of Aerodom, who becomes the first woman to head the regional office of Airports Council International (ACI-LAC) said, “I am honored to serve and collaborate with the 86 members who operate more than 350 airports in 41 countries in the Latin America and Caribbean region to build a more resilient and sustainable industry. ACI-LAC is an effective and respected voice, acting as a unique center of expertise.”

Looking to the future and its challenges, he confirmed the relevance of ACI-LAC to drive important initiatives together with all our partners, authorities and stakeholders in favor of liberalization, sustainability and decarbonization of the industry.

Meanwhile, Rafael Echevarne, CEO of ACI-LAC, said that “I am pleased to welcome Monika Infante, CEO of Aerodom, as the new President of the ACI-LAC Board of Directors. Monika is the first woman to lead this organization after serving on the board of ACI-LAC in different capacities. I am sure that with her support and leadership our association will be full of new initiatives for the industry, our members and the region, especially in the areas of sustainability, innovation and technology, among others.”

“I thank all the members of the incoming Board of Directors for taking on this important commitment and I am confident that they will work hard to take ACI-LAC to new levels of success and prosperity. Together, we will continue to promote social, environmental and economic development in the region,” he said.

Infante assumes the presidency of the Board of Directors of Airports Council International for Latin America and the Caribbean (ACI-LAC) for the period 2024 – 2025. She is the first woman to lead the association since its foundation in 1991.

She will be joined on the Executive Committee by Ezequiel Barrenecha, president of TAGSA and former president of ACI-LAC; Juan José Salmón, CEO of Lima Airport Partners; Evans Avendaño, CEO of Aeropuertos Perú; Raúl Revuelta, CEO of Grupo Aeroportuario del Pacífico; and Jorge Rosillo, CEO of ECOGAL.

The new Board of Directors was elected by ACI-LAC member airports during the last Annual General Assembly, held on November 6, 2023.
