The most important convention of the gastronomic and hotel industry in the Caribbean, Expogastronómica 2023 brought together the main segments of the sector in the Dominican Republic and the region, in a new edition with the participation of more than 60 exhibitors, with teams from different countries, and placing the entire gastronomic sector under the same roof.
The annual meeting of the main players in the gastronomic industry will be held until July 1 at the Catalonia Hotel & Convention Center, making it a regional summit visited by business and professional delegations from Europe, the United States, Central and South America, as well as the Caribbean.
Expogastronómica 2023 simultaneously hosted the international chef competition “Culinary Cup of the Americas” in its seventh version, with competitors from Chile, El Salvador and Peru, as well as national teams from hotels and resorts from different parts of the country, restaurants, caterers and culinary schools. This cup has the endorsement of the Ibero-American Forum of Gastronomic Organizations and had the work of four international judges who gave support to this great event catalogued as “The best culinary cup of the Caribbean”.
In addition, there were commercial exhibitions of national and international brands with more than 50 stands to visit, business rounds, Master Classes and new trends in the gastronomic and hospitality sector exhibited in an auditorium, as well as the competition for mixology professionals “The Bartender Challenge”, organized by the National Union of Bartenders, and “The National Tasting Competition”, organized by the Dominican Association of Sommeliers, as well as a program of lectures by renowned international and national experts, Cooking Shows and tastings.
Expogastronómica 2023 has been held since 2009 and has become the annual meeting of the food and beverage industry and the main annual convention in the Caribbean with the Dominican Republic as the venue.
