Barceló Bávaro Grand Resort kicks off its eighth edition of Culinary Week 2023

Barceló Bávaro Grand Resort began its Culinary Week 2023, which will be held until October 22, 2023 at its facilities, with dinners prepared by renowned national and international chefs.

The themed dinners will be based on Italian, Spanish, international, Mediterranean, Mexican, French and Caribbean gourmet cuisine.

Zarina Montalvo, commercial director of the Barceló Bávaro Grand Resort, said that “Culinary Week reflects Barceló Bávaro Grand Resort’s emphasis on providing its clients with the best experiences, including gastronomy, which is already part of its essence”.

He emphasized that throughout the week diners will enjoy haute cuisine in 7 themed dinners prepared by 9 renowned national and international chefs, who will showcase their creations and transport us to a world of flavors.

During the inaugural cocktail of the Culinary Week 2023, sommelier Su Heng Lama, better known as Sula Sommelier, conducted a live wine tasting for the attendees. The program of the event was also presented in the presence of food lovers, guests, invited personalities, executives of the chain and gastronomic specialists.

Themed dinners

The themed dinners will begin at La Comedie Restaurant, hosted by chef Steve Provost of the Allez Bistro restaurant in Santo Domingo, with a dinner inspired by the best flavors of French cuisine.

Lovers of Spanish cuisine will be able to enjoy the best of this gastronomy prepared by chef Francis Pena of El Gallego restaurant at La Fuente restaurant on Tuesday 17.

Meanwhile, on Wednesday 18, the theme dinner will be dedicated to the flavors of Mexican cuisine at the restaurant Mexico Lindo and will be in charge of chef Miguel Sanchez, who traveled exclusively from Mexico.

The week will continue on Thursday 19 at the Chez Gourmet restaurant, where chef Cristóbal Martos of La Cassina (Santo Domingo) will be showcasing the variety and the best of Mediterranean gastronomy by the chef.

Friday the 20th will be dedicated to Caribbean cuisine and will be in charge of the chefs of Barceló Bávaro Grand Resort and Occidental Caribe, Roberto De la Cruz, Hilario Martínez and Nelson Minaya, who will prepare a gourmet Caribbean dinner at El Coral Restaurant.

The themed dinner inspired by international flavors will be held on Saturday 21 at Chez Gourmet Restaurant and will be prepared by chef Gabriel Occelli of SBG Punta Cana restaurant.

This year 2023 to close Culinary Week 2023, diners will enjoy a dinner inspired by Italian cuisine by renowned chef Nicolas Frigerio of Nipau restaurant, who will showcase his culinary skills on Sunday 22nd at La Dolce Vita restaurant.
