ICAO seeks to prevent aviation health emergencies

The International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) met with the Pan American Health Organization (PAHO) to sign the Eighth Collaboration Agreement for the Prevention and Management of Public Health Events in Civil Aviation (CAPSCA).

OACI 01The meeting, which took place at the general offices of Servicios a la Navegación en el Espacio Aéreo Mexicano (SENEAM), had as one of its objectives to present advances and essential functions that arise from the International Health Regulations and that apply to airport preparations for health emergencies.

“We are currently at the opening ceremony of the Eighth ICAO Collaboration Agreement for the Prevention and Management of Public Health Events in the Americas, which is being held at the SENEAM facilities,” the ICAO said on social networks.

The signing of the agreement between the institutions comes under a context in which the numbers of Covid-19 contagion cases have increased in Mexico and the world.
