Edesur installs LED lighting fixtures in La Esperanza, Barahona

Edesur has installed dozens of new LED luminaires in the municipality of La Esperanza, in the province of Barahona, benefiting more than 2,000 people.

The streets affected in La Esperanza were Restauración, Mella and Sánchez, which are now not only illuminated, but also beautified with modern luminaires.

Rey Joaquín Terrero Ruiz, on behalf of the community members of the area, highlighted the work of Edesur and its social commitment to the community by installing the luminaires, so much in demand for safety reasons.

The installation of the luminaires increases the level of citizen safety and improves the quality of life of the neighbors in these areas, as they now feel safe going out at night.

The director of Edesur Dominicana’s zone 4 operations office, Angel Olivero, said that, in general, the current Edesur administration, headed by Milton Morrison, is developing an extensive public lighting program to support the communities by installing street lights in the most critical points to ensure greater safety at night.
