Bahia Principe moves forward with the refurbishment of three of its hotels in the DR

Grupo Piñero is moving forward with the refurbishment of five hotels in the Caribbean, located in Mexico, the Dominican Republic and Jamaica, with an investment of 70 million euros. Its objective, in addition to updating the facilities with new trends, adjusting to customer demands, is to incorporate the local culture of each destination in its new designs and experiences.

The leisure and restaurant areas, as well as the renovation of rooms with greater comfort and convenience, have been the protagonists of the hotel renovations. More than 600 rooms have been upgraded, divided into family rooms -2 bedroom suites-, Junior Suite Premiun and Deluxe Swim up with its own bathing area on the terrace.

The hotels undergoing upgrades and refurbishments are Bahia Principe Luxury Akumal, in Mexico; Bahia Principe Grand Punta Cana, Bahia Principe Grand Bavaro, and Bahia Brincipe Luxury Esmeralda, in the Dominican Republic and Bahia Principe Grand Jamaica.

“This year we have given continuity to our 5-year strategic investment plan, based on the levers of innovation and sustainable growth, with the aim of renewing our hotels with technological and thematic tools, thus guaranteeing the quality standards that characterize us,” said Lluisa Salord, SVP Global Sales, contracting and distribution of Grupo Piñero.

New culinary concepts have also been introduced, reflecting cultural influences from the destination and other parts of the world, which are also integrated into the architecture and decoration.
