Bluewave Group partners with Hilton to build DoubleTree Punta Cana

Bluewave Group announced the signing of an agreement with Hilton Hotels to develop the new DoubleTree by Hilton in the heart of Downtown Punta Cana, Dominican Republic.

The collaboration, made possible through a partnership with the Downtown Punta Cana group, will raise the standard of the hotel experience in the vibrant eastern city, offering travelers 120 guest rooms, a full-service restaurant and state-of-the-art conference and meeting facilities.

As such, Jordan Estevez, CEO of Bluewave Group, expressed his enthusiasm for the innovative collaboration. “We are delighted to embark on this journey with Hilton to bring DoubleTree by Hilton Punta Cana Downtown to life.”

He reported that “construction of the DoubleTree Punta Cana is scheduled to begin next February, and the hotel is expected to open its doors to guests in December 2025. This development represents a significant investment in the local economy, providing employment opportunities and contributing to the growth of the tourism industry in Punta Cana.”

“This project is a testament to our commitment to provide exceptional experiences and remain committed to tourism in the Dominican Republic. We believe Hilton’s world-renowned standards of quality and service align perfectly with our vision for this property,” he said.

He indicated that “the hotel will offer guests an unforgettable stay in the heart of Punta Cana, known for its stunning beaches, rich culture and lively nightlife.”

“The 120-room establishment will feature contemporary design elements, comfortable accommodations and an array of amenities designed to satisfy both leisure and business travelers,” he added.

For his part, Pablo Maturana, vice president of development for the Caribbean and Latin America at Hilton, said, “We are excited to announce this agreement with Bluewave Group that brings us closer to our plan to triple our portfolio in the Dominican Republic over the next five years.”

“DoubleTree by Hilton is known for its warm and welcoming hospitality, and we look forward to bringing our unique style of service to Downtown Punta Cana. This project represents a significant step in our expansion efforts in the Caribbean and aligns perfectly with our goal of providing exceptional guest experiences,” he explained.

The resort will also feature a full-service restaurant offering a varied menu of culinary delights and well-equipped conference rooms suitable for meetings and corporate events.

The announcement was made at the inaugural International Tourism Fair (Fitur 2024).
