Chinese entrepreneurs want to build a hotel complex in the DR

The president of the Jade Pro-Chinese Community Foundation, Miguel Feng, informed that Chinese businessmen are interested in investing in the construction of a hotel complex in the Dominican Republic.

He said that they are looking for this investment to be in the construction of a hotel in Santo Domingo or possibly in the area of Punta Cana.

He indicated that this bet is due to the fact that at present there is no hotel in the Dominican Republic with a “high level of quality” to accommodate a large number of Chinese tourists.

“Chinese nationals are looking for hotels with large gardens and features that identify them as they are,” he added.

He also indicated that the Chinese tourist is a big consumer and can spend up to US$300 a day on a stay, “as long as they find a product that can attract their attention”, according to Recorriendo con Salvador.
