Ricardo Felip, partner-vice president of Coral Hospitality Corporation (CHC), revealed to arecoa.com that the new TRYP by Wyndham Punta Cana hotel project will begin construction next April 2024, “in May at the latest”.
He indicated that the approximate time for its operation and to be ready to receive tourists would be 12 to 18 months, after the works begin, that is to say that it would be operating at the middle or end of 2025.
“It is a hotel franchised by the Wyndham brand and operated by us; it will be a hotel aimed at the public that goes to Punta Cana on business for stays of 2 or 3 nights. It is as if it were a city hotel like Santo Domingo, but in the eastern zone where there 
is an excellent MICE public,” he added.
The hotel will have 97 rooms and a commercial area of 2,200 square meters. It will be located on the Boulevard Turístico del Este. The urban-style boutique brand will have a lobby bar, executive restaurant with capacity for 100 people, swimming pool, gym, 150-square-meter meeting and business center, free wi-fi in the lobby, pool and rooms, as well as underground parking for guests and visitors.
Banco BHD is in charge of the US$8,900,000 financing granted to Bio Investment Group, S.A.S. for the construction and launching of the hotel project, which is sponsored by Grupo La Chapelle and CHC.
