The De Valle and 7Palms business groups announced the construction of a new La Quinta by Wyndham hotel in Miches, RD, during the ITB Berlin 2024 tourism fair.
This is the first time that a mid-scale U.S. brand has entered the fast-growing destination located in the east of the Caribbean country.
The new hotel, which will have an investment of more than US$12, will join the 900 La Quinta hotels operating worldwide and its two sister properties: La Quinta Puerto Plata and La Quinta San Francisco de Macoris.
“Today (Wednesday) we are here at ITB-Berlin, the world’s largest tourism event, to announce, together with our partners at 7Palms Group, the construction of our new La Quinta by Wyndham hotel in Miches, bringing to 292 rooms of this prestigious brand in the RD,” said Edward De Valle, CEO of Grupo De Valle.

He explained that the new La Quinta by Wyndham hotel in Miches will have 79 rooms, with large open spaces for co-working, breakfast, meeting and event rooms. It will also have a wellness center and a swimming pool available to guests.
He pointed out that the work will have an immediate positive impact on Miches, since in its construction phase it will generate 200 new jobs directly, which is in addition to the other 450 jobs already created during the construction phase of La Quinta Puerto Plata and La Quinta San Francisco de Macoris.
