INEFI continues to supervise works

The executive director of the National Institute of Physical Education (INEFI), Alberto Rodríguez Mella, conducted a day of supervision of the facilities that will host the X National School Sports Games Barahona 2023, which will be held from 7 to 17 November in this southern region.

Rodriguez Mella and INEFI collaborators, reviewed the construction and remodeling works which have a cost of 600 million pesos, where several of the 20 disciplines that will see action in the great school competition will be disputed.

During his tour of San Juan, INEFI observed the repair of the Hermanos Suárez stadium, the main baseball park in this city, and the judo, karate, table tennis and taekwondo pavilions, as well as the baseball stadium at the Francisco del Rosario Sánchez school.

Recently, Rodriguez Mella, accompanied by a team of INEFI engineers and technicians, toured the grounds of the Nadin Hazoury baseball stadium and the Barahona sports complex.

The School Games will be held in Barahona and will have subsites in San Juan de la Maguana, Azua and Bahoruco.

Rodriguez Mella highlighted the fact that the remodeling of the works has begun to generate jobs among the natives of the towns of Barahona, San Juan, Azua and Neyba.

As part of the tour, INEFI authorities delivered sports equipment for various schools in the southern region of the country.
