DGII announces that this year the marbete can be renewed through mobile app

The General Directorate of Internal Taxes (DGII) announced the availability of the renewal of the 2023-2024 marbete through the DGII application, which constitutes a further effort to modernize the service to taxpayers, in accordance with the bureaucracy reduction strategies outlined by President Luis Abinader.

Through this technological innovation, taxpayers will be able to renew the marbete from their cell phones and receive the stamp at the address they provide through a courier service. The only requirement is to download the DGII mobile application available in the App Store and Google Play.

Starting this Tuesday, October 17, begins the renewal period of the Vehicle Circulation Tax (marbete) 2023-2024, for 1,770,261 vehicles in good standing and an estimated collection of DR 2,881,804,500.00.

It may also be renewed electronically through the website www.dgii.gov.do and the DGII mobile application from the beginning of the renewal period until Sunday, January 14, 2024.

To carry out the renewal in any of the available entities, as well as for the reception of orders made via web, it is indispensable to possess the photocopy of the registration of the vehicle to be renewed, updated, legible and in good condition.

The amounts corresponding to penalties for non-renewal during the established term are maintained:
