Exploration of UN ambassadors in Eastern attractions

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs (Mirex) informed that it will receive the visit of 10 ambassadors from different countries accredited to the United Nations (UN), some of them members of the Security Council of this organization, who will exhaust an agenda to learn about the progress and development of the RD in the implementation of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development.

The ambassadors will be received in the course of this week by high-level officials of the Dominican Government to address issues related to trade, investment, security, Embajadores De La ONU RDclimate change and others; they will also tour the tourist areas of the Eastern region to appreciate the development of tourism in the country, accompanied by Ambassador José Blanco, Dominican permanent representative to the United Nations.

Among the diplomats who have been visiting the country since Tuesday, April 23, are the current president of the Security Council, Ambassador Vanessa Frazier of Malta, and Ambassador Carolyn Rodrigues-Birkett of Guyana, who chairs the United Nations Sanctions Committee on Haiti.

The group of ambassadors also includes the permanent representatives to the UN of Bahrain, Jamal Fares Alrowaiei; the Republic of Benin, Marc Hermanne Gninadoou Araba; the Hellenic Republic (Greece), Evangelos Sekeris; the Republic of Indonesia, Arrmanatha Christiawan Nasir; the State of Kuwait, Tareq M. A. M. Albanai; from the State of Libya, Taher M. T. El-Sonni; from the Republic of Slovenia, Bo tjan Malovrh; and from the Republic of Tajikistan, Jonibek Ismoil Hikmat.
