The province of Barahona will host the first edition of the tourism fair Expo Turismo y Atracciones 2024, under the slogan “For the love of Barahona”, an event to be held from March 1 to 3 at the Costa Larimar Hotel, and which will bring together almost 100 companies from the tourism sector, both national and international.
Kelvin Faña, general coordinator, informed that the tourism fair will offer a thematic agenda that will include conferences, business tables, presentation of products, business opportunities, sales and service offers.
In addition, he said that a formal invitation will be extended to the President of the DR, Luis Abinader and the Minister of Tourism, David Collado, where they will be recognized for the achievement of the goal of more than 10 million tourists.
“Expo Turismo y Atracciones 2024 is an event that seeks to boost tourism development in the DR, especially in the southern region, which has great potential to offer unique and sustainable experiences to visitors. We want this event to be a platform for entrepreneurs and buyers to generate strategic alliances and business opportunities, as well as for the general public to get to know and fall in love with Barahona,” said Faña.
He said that the Expo Tourism and Attractions Fair 2024 for Love Barahona! will feature artistic participation and many surprises.
Expo Turismo y Atracciones 2024, organized by Turismo y Atracciones and Grupo Mecca, is a space for investors and entrepreneurs in the tourism sector to learn about the services, tourism products and investment opportunities in Barahona.
The tourism fair seeks to establish contacts with more than 60 national and international wholesalers. In addition, financial institutions and investment funds are expected to participate.
Attendees will be able to enjoy the various activities and attractions offered by the province of Barahona, such as nature adventures, gastronomic tourism, local tourism, bird watching, river and cave exploration, and visits to coffee plantations, among other attractions.
