The Minister of Tourism, David Collado, inaugurated the reconstruction of the Ramal Viva and Ramal Los Nómadas access roads in Playa Cosón, Las Terrenas with an investment of close to 68 million pesos.

The works are part of an extensive program developed by the Ministry of Tourism (Mitur) in the province of Samaná to continue promoting the growth of the tourist destination.

“We are here inaugurating this work and tomorrow we will be leaving other works started in Arroyo Barril, fulfilling our commitment to continue promoting this paradisiacal destination of Samaná,” he said.

Collado reiterated his commitment to continue working in favor of the tourist development of Samaná, which, in his opinion, has a direct impact on its economy and its residents.

It contemplates the Viva Branch, with a length of 1.68 kilometers, with two lanes of circulation for a width of five meters, in addition to the construction of 600 linear meters of gutters on its sides, to form longitudinal drainage.

In addition, a six-meter culvert and a 10-meter bridge were built to ensure the proper flow of water, thus guaranteeing the durability of the road.

The second stage of the work consists of the reconstruction of a second road axis that gives access to Playa Cosón, from the tourist boulevard of the Atlantic: Ramal Los Nómadas, a length of 1.20 kilometers with two lanes of circulation for a width of 5.00 meters.

In addition, the construction of 600 linear meters of gutters on its sides, to form longitudinal drainage.
