Dominican’s Miches tourist resort will add 2,000 new rooms

Tourism development in the Miches area appears to be on track. The Minister of Tourism of the Dominican Republic, David Collado, has confirmed that more than 2,000 new hotel rooms will be opened.

For the minister, ‘tourism is growing in this destination thanks to the agreement signed within the Tourism Cabinet where the private sector will invest one billion dollars and the public sector will coordinate the accesses to the beach and the Land Management Plan’.

The hotel constructions to be built in the developing destination are the following: Zemi Miches All-Inclusive Resort; Curio Collection by Hilton, by Frank Elías Rainieri, which will provide 502 rooms and is expected to open in 2024.

The Secrets Playa Esmeralda and Dreams Playa Esmeralda hotels, which will add a thousand rooms to the hotel offer.

Also noted is the Viva Whyndham Group project, with 487 hotel rooms and the Grupo Maralda project with 690 rooms; among other developments, such as Grupo Tropicalia.
