DR discusses with Mexican tour operators to promote multidestinations

The Vice Minister of Foreign Affairs, José Julio Gómez, informed that he held a working lunch with the 10 main Mexican tour operators that offer the Dominican Republic as part of their catalog of tourism options.

He explained that, during the meeting, various topics were addressed, such as the development of the country as a multi-destination option, “given the potential that our nation has for the promotion of ecological, cultural, business and convention tourism,” through his Instagram account.

He added that they talked about the internationalization of the DR’s tourism campaigns, “emphasizing the projection of our Country Brand, as well as the restart of operations in Punta Cana.”

For its part, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (Mirex), highlighted on its Twitter account that the senior official was accompanied by María Isabel Castillo, Dominican ambassador to Mexico; by the minister counselor, Madelyn Fernández, in charge of Economic Affairs of the embassy; and Carolina Pérez, director of the DR Tourism Promotion Office in Mexico.
