Meliá begins total refurbishment of Paradisus Punta Cana for US$256 million

Meliá Hotels International continues its commitment to provide a better experience to its guests at its hotels in the Dominican Republic, and to this end has started the total reconstruction of the first of its Paradisus brand resorts in the east of the country, the Paradisus Punta Cana.

In this regard, Francisco Camps, Managing Director of Meliá for the Dominican Republic, told arecoa.com that they are already remodeling the Paradisus Punta Cana, which will have 1,200 rooms, with an investment of US$256 million and is expected to be ready by mid-2026.

He indicated that the step has been taken firmer than expected due to the great reception of the Paradisus Palma Real Golf & Spa Resort that opened in December of last year 2022 after its comprehensive refurbishment.

“The Pardisus brand already existed, what we did was a powerful remodeling of the Palma Real where some 58 million dollars were invested and the truth is that the touch of modernism, simplicity, the great gastronomic offer and activities that the hotel has had a spectacular reception, so much so that it has encouraged us to continue with the restructuring project and we have already started the investment of the Paradisus Punta Cana,” he reiterated.

The Paradisus Punta Cana brand started operations in the destination in 1995. The project will bring a new degree of luxury to a brand beloved by the most demanding travelers in the world of all-inclusive luxury, while remaining faithful to its principles.
