Paradisus Palma Real will host the first edition of “The Epicure by Paradisus”

Paradisus Palma Real will celebrate the first edition of the gastronomic platform “The Epicure by Paradisus” from November 3 to 6, with the objective of promoting Dominican gastronomy.

The event will have as special guests chefs Germán Ortega, Michelin Star; Roberto Capone, who has five Italian cuisine stars and Leandro Díaz, renowned Dominican chef and director of Casa Gastronómica Dominicana.

The information was offered by Francisco Camps, Area Managing, director Dominican Republic of Meliá Hotels International, who indicated to arecoa.com that the event has been held for three years in Mexico and has wanted to promote it in the Dominican Republic as well.

“The activity will have three chefs, one Spanish, one Italian and one Dominican, with the objective that during the three days the chefs can be with the clients doing two masterclasses and interacting and showing them how some of the dishes are prepared; and the main evening will be a dinner with a 9-course menu where each one will prepare two dishes to enjoy Dominican gastronomy,” he explained.

He said that within the Paradisus concept there is the Destination Inclusive, which means that each of the countries where the chain has hotels must synergize and integrate into the activities.

“The country has to participate in the hotel and the hotel in the country. Culture, gastronomy, tradition… have to be part of the hotel’s offer because we can’t fool ourselves… we all sell rooms but what clients are looking for are experiences and an experience in the Dominican Republic without the Dominicans would not be a memorable experience,” Camps said.

He also emphasized that “it is an honor for Paradisus Palma Real to have as special guests chefs Roberto Capone, Germán Ortega and Leandro Díaz, who will grace the First Edition of The Epicure”.

“It will be an exceptional culinary event that aims to highlight the richness of Dominican gastronomy”, he added.
