Aerodom improves baggage handling at AILA

Aeropuertos Dominicanos Siglo XXI (Aerodom), announced that it has signed a collaboration agreement with Alstef Group to implement improvements to the baggage handling system at the José Francisco Peña Gómez International Airport of the Americas (AILA).

In a statement posted on its Instagram account, the entity said that Alstef Group, recognized as a world leader in the design, integration and support of automated solutions for the airport and mail and parcel handling industry, will be in charge of this project, which has as its main objective to improve the process of baggage Aerodom Equipajescreening and inspection at the airport.

The project includes the integration of a new outbound BHS (Baggage Handling System), equipped with four Explosives Detection System (EDS) Standard 3 units, automatic tag readers, a baggage sorting circuit, and screening and inspection rooms.

This initiative seeks to optimize the baggage screening process, which will result in a more efficient airport operation and improve the experience of passengers transiting through the AILA.

Aerodom reaffirmed its commitment to continuous improvement in the quality of service, seeking to offer a memorable experience to all passengers and users who visit its airport terminals.
