Air Europa presented to the travel agencies of Cibao its new route that will connect the city of Santiago with the city of Madrid, Spain, starting next June 27.
On the route, the airline will be using its characteristic Boeing 787 Dreamliner aircraft, which offers better pressurization, minimum cabin noise, allowing greater rest and reduction of jet lag, in addition to being a faster aircraft which shortens the flight time by almost an hour.
Francisco Pérez, Regional Director of Air Europa’s Caribbean Area, explained during the meeting that the new route will have two weekly frequencies on Thursdays and Saturdays.
He also emphasized that it seeks to encourage and boost tourism in the northern part of the country, as well as to promote the city of Santiago as a tourist destination in Europe.
“We know that with your support this route will be a success, because now your customers will not have to travel to Santo Domingo to take a flight from Madrid or any other European destination to which we operate,” he said.
The event was attended by the main wholesale travel agencies of the northern part of the country, representatives of the Santiago Tourism Cluster and the directors of the Cibao International Airport.
