The RD is among Iberia’s most sought-after destinations for the flights it will operate this Easter 2024, driven, among other factors, by the growing Spanish outbound market that continues to opt for the Caribbean island as one of its favorite long-haul destinations.
Iberia will operate four weekly frequencies to the DR, deciding to bring forward the summer season, which in the airline industry formally starts in early April, thus taking advantage of the high 
demand generated by Easter.
Thus, Iberia and its affiliated airlines will operate a total of 5,471 flights from last Friday, March 22 to next Monday, April 1, representing an increase of 7.69% over the previous year.
In total, the Iberia Group will offer more than one million seats during this holiday. In addition to DR, other destinations with a high level of demand are Paris, where the airline offers ten daily flights, Rome, with six, New York with three and Athens with one daily flight.
According to María Jesús Lopéz Solas, Iberia’s commercial director, “Easter is one of the periods of the year when the greatest number of trips are concentrated in a few days, and that is why we wanted to expand the supply of seats to the most popular destinations, also offering our customers the possibility of traveling to the new destinations scheduled for the summer season”.
