Grupo Poma and its hotel division Real Hotels & Resorts are preparing for the upcoming opening of its Courtyard by Marriott Santo Domingo Piantini hotel, which is scheduled for the first quarter of 2024.
The 17-level, 160-room hotel will be the 22nd property operated by Real Hotels & Resorts. It will be located on Freddy Prestol Castillo Street on the corner of Porfirio Herrera.
Isabel Hernández, general manager of the hotel, expressed her satisfaction for the early start of operations of this new hotel, the third of the Real Hotels & Resorts group in the Dominican Republic, this time under the standards of the Marriott brand, where guests will be able to enjoy quality facilities in a very welcoming environment, together with a professional and committed team.

The contemporary style hotel will be located in the business and entertainment center of the city of Santo Domingo, which will make its strategic location to connect in a few minutes to shopping malls, restaurants, the colonial area and other places of interest to visit.

The spacious rooms, in five different categories, all timeless in style, will provide guests with a cozy feeling for the best rest through attributes such as soundproof windows, high-speed wi-fi, smart TVs and luxury Egyptian cotton bedding, designed to ensure maximum comfort during business or leisure stays.
On the second level of the hotel will be located the Kitchen & Bar restaurant, with a casual, complete and varied gastronomic proposal. There will also be a bar offering modern cocktails, a variety of local and imported beers and a renowned wine list, so that guests and invitees can enjoy a pleasant experience in a friendly and social atmosphere.
The exclusive Rooftop Bar and infinity pool will be located on the 17th floor, with stunning views of the city and the Caribbean Sea. The gym located on the same level, with natural light and exterior views, will be equipped with the latest technology.
Among the facilities of the Courtyard by Marriott Santo Domingo Piantini are 176 square meters of meeting rooms for conferences, events or meetings, with capacity for 150 people, natural light and the latest audiovisual technology. It will also have 6 subway parking levels.
In addition, the hotel’s interior design is the responsibility of the renowned global firm Watermark Design Studio, based in Dallas and with more than 50 years of experience in interior design for hotels, having worked for major international brands on world-renowned luxury hotel and tourism projects.
