The governor of Montecristi, Nelsy Cruz, valued the visit made by the Minister of Tourism, David Collado, and expressed her satisfaction, since, on the instructions of the president, Luis Abinader, who made a call at the meeting, the minister confirmed the remodeling of the emblematic clock of the city park, the renovation of the boardwalk along with a boulevard, the little beach, with the pedestrian street, the renovation of the beach of Buen hombre, the remodeling of the Victorian houses, remodeling of a church, among other important works.
He explained that Montecristi is rejoicing and rejoicing, because thanks to President Abinader and Minister Collado, tourism will flourish in the province and will give it more importance, as the fifth tourist pole of the Dominican Republic.
He said that with the works, there will be more national and foreign investment for the different sectors, and above all, more development and opportunities for the population.
On his side, the Minister of Tourism expressed that they will focus on these necessary works that will boost the province and will bring sustainable growth.
The activity was attended by district and municipal mayors, councilors, representatives of the tourism cluster, restaurants, hotels, deputies, the church, civil society, among other sectors.
During the dialogue, it was agreed to work in 15 days to strengthen tourism in the province.
