Autumn-Winter 2008-2009 Couture Fashion Show

A look on the Parisian podiums

The fashion week in Paris ended this Thursday July 3, after 4 Haute couture fashion days shows for the Autumn/Winter 2008-2009.

Like every year, the great designers such as Dior, Chanel, J.P. Gaultier, Christian Lacroix were there and presented wonderful collections and worthy of their prestige, even if this year, the collections were more calm and the creations less exuberant as usual.

Among all these collections, one more beautiful than the others, I especially liked the one of Dior and Valentino.
John Galliano for Dior opened very well the festivities, moderating his extravagance to present a collection plenty of grace and very glamour.

The silhouettes are marked by small waist that are underlined by omnipresent belts and wide and light skirts, made from silk and tulle.

Regarding the colors side, the elegance of black and white remains present, but light pastels tons and sharper colors bring freshness to a very contemporary collection.

As regards to Valentino, there is change: only the last two passages in red point out the fetish color of the house: the models with porcelain coloring carry wonderful light colored dresses, and this delicacy underlined by embroideries takes us in a romantic world.
