Abinader to receive official visit of his Suriname counterpart at the National Palace

President Luis Abinader will receive this Thursday on an official visit his counterpart from the Republic of Suriname, Chandrikapersad Santokhi, who arrives in the country today, Wednesday.

The reception ceremony for the Surinamese president will be held at the front esplanade of the National Palace at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday.

Upon his arrival at the National Palace, the Surinamese head of state will receive the honors corresponding to his high investiture and immediately the leaders will proceed to the military review and the presentation of their respective delegations.

Subsequently, the Dominican and Surinamese presidents will have a private audience in the Presidential Office of the National Palace.

The official agenda of the President of Suriname includes an extended meeting of the delegations of both countries, in the Government Council Room of the National Palace.

After noon, the heads of state will hold an instrument signing ceremony and a joint declaration will be made in the Ambassadors Hall, as well as a lunch in the Banquet Hall.

At the end of the events at the National Palace, the ruler of the Republic of Suriname and his official entourage will continue with other activities.
