Ramos Group transition to strengthen the company

The Ramos Fernández Family and other shareholders of Grupo Ramos announced the transition of its management structure, a decision that will help them to focus more effectively on their role as shareholders, continue investing and supporting efforts to develop talent, and at the same time continue protecting, positioning and managing the company as an important family legacy.

The information was offered in a press release by Mercedes Ramos Fernández, president of the Board of Directors, who informed that “as part of this process, a Board of professional directors has been formed, composed of several independent members, with extensive experience, who will work together with our executive team to take Grupo Ramos to the next level of development”.

Commitment to excellence

“This initiative reflects our commitment to excellence and continuous improvement in all our operations, which is why the second generation of the Ramos Fernandez family has made the decision to begin a coordinated transition that will culminate with their retirement from management roles in the company over the course of the next year,” said the Ramos Group executive.

“As part of this transition process, we are pleased to announce the creation of the position of executive vice president, which will be occupied by Iván José Mejía Alberty, a professional with more than 20 years of experience in the industrial and commercial sectors of the country and the company,” said Ramos Fernández.

He noted that “Iván joined our company in 2014 and has proven his worth over the years, leading important initiatives and promoting significant improvements in various areas. His experience and leadership will be instrumental in driving the continued success of Grupo Ramos.”

In that sense, Mercedes Ramos informed that she will continue to actively lead the strategic decisions of the business, in her role as president of the Board of Directors, thus ensuring a smooth and efficient transition.

She assured that “with these actions, the Ramos Fernandez Family and the other shareholders reaffirm their commitment to the sustainability of Grupo Ramos, laying the foundations to continue growing and consolidating its leadership in the market”.
