Abinader: Roads in Pedernales ready in the 1st semester

President Luis Abinader informed that the Pedernales trust, which is managed by the General Directorate of Public-Private Partnerships (DGAPP), has its road and water and sewage works in process and will be delivered in the first semester of this year 2024.

“The first three hotels in the area are at an advanced stage of construction, the first of which could begin operations before 2025. Likewise, the first phase of the cruise terminal is already operating,” he said.

As for the electrical works, the chief of state explained that “they are progressing according to schedule. The international airport is also under construction and the Vias Pedernalesconservation of Cabo Rojo’s biodiversity is being contemplated.

Abiander said that agreements were established to position “Cabo Rojo: The New Caribbean” as a world brand destination by guaranteeing the proper management of solid waste, as well as the implementation of responsible actions to reduce gas emissions in the next decade and achieve carbon neutrality by 2050.
