Jesus Vasquez Martinez, Minister of Interior and Police, assured that if the Dominican Republic received 10 million tourists by the end of 2023, it is due to the high levels of security that the nation exhibits.
“If 10 million tourists come to the Dominican Republic, it is because there is confidence and there is security. Nobody goes to a country where there is no security,” he said.
Vásquez emphasized that the Government has complied with all the commitments made in terms of dignifying the National Police.
He emphasized that among the security policies implemented so far are the implementation of the police reform and the modernization of the training curriculum for police officers, according to Diario Libre.
